Who are these programs for?
At the moment programs are designed for anyone who wishes to:
1. Start or, gradually want to switch their career into tech and design
2. Learn and build skills in software development and product design
3. Apply and test their skills to build projects to gain confidence and upgrade their portfolio
4. Gain internship equivalent work experience
5. Collaborate along with like-minded peers
Our flagship project's first cohorts Build and Grow mainly focuses on helping people with basic knowledge and skill to apply that into building projects with industry use cases and work on live projects respectively.
If you are starting from scratch and want to learn first to pick up the skill from zero to one then we recommend you to join our Explore and Upskill programs.
Who are these programs not for?
These programs are not for the ones who are:
1. Expecting tuitions like spoon feed approach to learning things
2. Willing to stay in their comfort zone and work in isolation all the time
3. Expecting fruitful outcomes without putting due efforts
4. Here for an internship certificate, just to submit as a college mandate
5. Looking for celebrity/influencer mentors to handhold at each step of their learning
What is Proof of Work?
Proof of work is a display of your tangible and intangible experiences in either building something or solving a problem using your knowledge and skills.
It is a presentation of your contributions to a project and the specific approach you have taken. Your proof of work can be presented through your portfolio pages(or websites), repositories, case study blogs, videos, etc.
What are CBCs?
“Cohort-Based Courses,” referring to a group of learners who join an online course together and then move through it at the same pace.
The instructor provides structure and guidance, but much of the learning happens peer-to-peer, as students share what they’re discovering in real time and encourage each other to keep going.
What is a Project Micro Cohort?
It’s a team of 3-6 members who have a common goal of building proof of work. They come in with either the same or different prior experiences but collaborate to build a project together. Although, being at different roles individually! This team is structured and guided by mentors and managers for smooth functioning like a real-time startup team.
In simple words, they are a group of people who come together to learn and help each other to learn by working with the structure provided by the facilitator and guidance from mentors.
What’s the difference between Practice, Portfolio, and Live projects?
Practice projects: They are usually tasks given to your to work hands-on to apply your learning to a small problem and find the solution. These projects are only for practice purposes to help you comprehend and retain the course content better. They can’t be displayed on resumes or portfolios.
Portfolio projects: These are full-fledged projects on larger, more comprehensive use-cases simulated to the ones from the industry and have multiple moving parts. These projects can be put up on your resume or portfolio as proof of work.
Live Projects: These are projects with a live problem statement directly from the companies themselves. These projects could potentially be used by the company or released in the market as a product.
What is the difference between a Peer Mentor and an Industry mentor?
A "peer mentor" is a person within almost the same age group as you but is a bit more experience in the same domain as yours. A Peer mentor is someone who is just a few milestones ahead of you on a similar learning path as yours. Ideally, a peer mentor is a student or a fresher with skills and experience better than yours.
An "industry mentor" is someone who brings in professional work experience from the industry being an employee, freelancer, or entrepreneur. He/She is the one whose job revolves around the same domain as yours.
What are Learning Metrics?
They are generally the factors that define the quality of learning. In our case, we have fixed two learning metrics to help you measure the intensity of each of the learning programs. So that you know to measure the impact that each of them will create.
Which of your programs is the best for me?
It depends on what stage of the learning curve you are in. If you are starting from scratch and want to learn from the basics, Explore and Upskill programs would serve you well to begin.
If you have basic knowledge and skills and want to enhance your skills by applying them to build projects and gain experience, Build and Grow project cohorts will serve you best.
What are the subject domains offered in the programs?
Currently, we are offering programs on the following domains:
1. Web Development
2. Mobile App Development
3. UI/UX Design
What is curated course content?
Most open-source content that’s available on the internet is free but very scattered all over, with a lot of distraction that comes along. We have handpicked the best pieces of this content and arranged them in a sequential modular format which makes it easier for the user to navigate and follow through the course.
The contents are periodically updated internally by the team and also based on feedback for the students.
Does this program guarantee me a job?
No, we don’t guarantee a job because it all depends on the individual performance. However, we do assist you with counseling, preparation, finding opportunities, and providing referrals. If you give 100% in learning, upskilling, and ultimately build your proof of work, also picking up the right soft skills along, we are very confident that you will land an attractive job offer.
Is this an internship?
Technically, it’s not an internship as most of the things that you would be doing is for your learning and you wouldn't be adding any value to any organization as such, except for maybe when you work on Live Projects on the GROW cohorts.
However, the project-first cohorts provide you with a very similar experience to that of an internship by its design and structure. Hence, you can call it something like a pre-internship or an apprenticeship if you were to say so.
Do I get a certificate for this program?
We don’t really wish to promote the certificate flaunting culture. We want your proof of work to be your certificate. Hence, we don’t provide any official certificate but instead, we provide a few mementos of our association for you to flex.
However, if you still want a certificate to submit to your school/college as a mandate we can make arrangements for that. This is in case you choose our programs in place of the mandatory internship tenure. We are doing this only for the reason, we don't want your schooling to come in the way of your education.
